The Feng Shui of Murder Houses I was reading about the Pennsylvania case of a woman who found out after purchasing a rather expensive property that the seller purposely concealed the fact that the house was the setting of a murder-suicide. Feng Shui For Investment Property I recently did a consultation for a large apartment complex in Alhambra. In this particular case my “client” was the whole investment company who had just bought the complex. Feng Shui Renovations 101

Last week I consulted on a house built in 1943 in San Diego whose energy, albeit a bit old, was rather nice and supportive to the owners. They also shared how they intended to upgrade the place, which was indeed needed because it didn’t quite fit a modern 2011 lifestyle. So, they ask for my professional opinion as Feng Shui consultant.
After running an analysis we figured out that in changing the energy from 1943 to 2011 it would turn the Feng Shui of the house from one of being "good for health, relationships, and success," to one of being "bad for health, relationships, and success." So what should the owner do? Read on.

I have just returned from Dubai and of course I couldn’t just pass on the opportunity to visit the most popular city in the Middle East and conduct a Feng Shui case study on it, now could I?

When I talk about "building-person compatibility" I refer specifically to how the energy of a building supports-- or antagonizes-- the person living or working in it. Yes, the energy of a building can in fact support you or sabotage your efforts in creating your goals. For example, I was consulting for a house in Pacific Palisades, CA yesterday and the woman living in it was a Wood person while the building itself was a Metal building. This is considered a very undesirable situation and it needed to be corrected.

What can Feng Shui do for you?

I was out property hunting in Costa Mesa, CA last week with a client (let’s call
him “Max”) who had previously experienced living in a house for five years that we defined as “bad for people (meaning health and relationship),” and also “bad for money (meaning success and financial prosperity).”
He and his wife are ready to move out from that house that caused them so many problems and buy a new one.

How to Select a Feng Shui Consultant

I had just been hired to review the plans for a new, sizable property in the West Los Angeles area. The design has been done by one of the most eminent authority in the filed of architecture. How can one ever feel comfortable having to make Feng Shui recommendation for a work of art?
The other challenge I am facing is that I am not the first or second Feng Shui opinion requested, but rather the third or forth. My “colleagues”, have recommended corrections that are simply “inappropriate” for an architectural project, whether designed by an authority in the filed or not. Dr. Mainini Featured in New Book

Dr. Mainini's contribution in the field of Feng Shui has been featured in an entire chapter of the brand new book Fuori Luogo (Out of Place).
The book, co-authored by brilliant Italian journalist/producer Claudia Ceroni along with the popular radio celebrity Federico Taddia, is a collection of interviews that the two have obtained through their national Italian radio show L'altrolato over the years with successful Italian professionals who have moved away from Italy (hence the title) and have distinguished themselves in their professional field in other countries.

The book is being published by Feltrinelli, one of Italy's most reputable and credited publishers, and it will be available in Italian (for the moment).
